Christmas in July.....

Good Morning!! It is Wednesday so that means I have another Sweet 'N Sassy card to show you!! Korin is having a "Christmas in July" sale so to go along with that I have created a Christmas card using one of the first sets I received from SNSS. Also the option along with the sketch, over at the Sweet Stop Sketch is Christmas. It is a very pretty sketch and the DT members have done a beautiful job representing it!!
Some new Christmas digi stamps are available at SNSS and they are adorable! To view the details on them stop by here! It is never to early to start the Christmas Cards!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by! I hope everyone is having a great week! I am getting so much done ~ I cannot believe it! If the weather stays the way it has I may get my whole "things to do" list done by the end of the week!! But I would rather have sunshine!! Oh well, on the plus side it helps me get things accomplished! (LOL)

Tea for 2........

Good morning!

Today I have decided to showcase the set Warm up. I was looking at the tutorials over at Splitcoast and seen this one and knew instantly I had to make this!! (sorry for the blurry pic ~ this was the best one of the bunch!)

I have had this pretty pack of K & Co. papers and thought it would look nice and elegant for a tea holder! I paired it with kraft paper because for some reason it reminds me of tea or coffee!

I am giving it to the elderly lady next door who my hubby and I help out. She has a friend who comes over once a week for tea so I thought this would be cute to put in with her mail when I bring it in for her.

Well thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget about the Christmas in July special over at the SNSS store!
Have a great day!!!!!

Sweet 'n Sassy does CPS!!!

Good Afternoon! This week, as you may know, Sweet 'n Sassy is sponsoring the sketch over at CPS. It is a beauty so I just had to try it out. Loved the spot for two images ~ perfect for the bird on the stump!! I decided to go with Birthday Buddies. I love all the adorable images in it!! It could also be used for more than birthdays ~ anniversaries, get well cards ~ you name it! If you have a hard time with male cards this set is perfect!
The SNSS DT have also created cards with this sketch and they are all so pretty ~ should really go take a look and maybe try the sketch out yourself!!

Paper: MME
Inks: distress inks
Accessories: lace ~ Papercellar, button and twine ~ stash, flower ~ Prima

Believe it or not it took me 4 hours into the wee hours to finish this simple card!! Rachel's surgery went well but I see the worst is to come. She refuses to take the pain meds so she was waking up every 30 minutes in the night!! Today she refuses to drink because her throat is sore!! (She had her tonsils, adenoids and some tubes in her nose removed). How do you force a 4 year old to drink any ideas?????

Anyways thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope everyone has a beautiful day!! It looks like it is going to be gorgeous here to bad I have to catch up on all the housework I missed while I was away :(

Hello!! Can you believe it is July already!! Well I am tickled pink that Korin has asked me to be a guest DT member for this month and I am the first stop of the hop!
I have decided to showcase Dream Silhouettes for you this morning. I love this set and it just screams technique to me. I tried a few out but had no luck! (LOL) SO I decided to go with the Cracked Glass technique. It is really easy but I just love the look of it! I went over the cracks with some vintage photo distress ink.

Paper: MME
inks: distress inks, twinkloing h2o's
accessories: flowers ~ Prima, lace ~ JoAnn's and twine/button ~ stash

To continue on with the hop go to see Janette's beautiful creation here. She will then direct you on to the next and so on......

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!! Thanks again Korin for asking me back :)

Last day of the Sweet 'n Sassy blog hop!!!

Tonight is the release of Sweet 'n Sassy's newest sets. My project uses a set called Snowflakes. I really love this set!! There are a variety of snowflakes in various sizes ~ perfect for any project. I decided to make a hot cocoa kit with it. I used the template from here. The bag is big enough to fit a pouch of hot cocoa and some marshmallows. I love the way it turned out and had to make one for each of the girls!! I had to show off two of the bags to show you how good it stamps with ink and with paint! The ink was a little light so I stamped one with paint! (If anyone knows a white that stamps good and shows could you please let me know. This one was Palette's New Canvas and I was alittle disappointed!! I just can't find one that covers good!!) Anyway the sentiment is also from the set and it contains 3 different sayings!! (Gotta love that)!

Paper: Kraft paper, MME
Ink : Palette noir and new canvas
Acessories: Twine ~ Walmart, buttons ~ stash

Well thanks for stopping by and now you can hop over to Chris's blog for the last sneak peek. The release party is tonight from 9-12pm and at the end the stampsets are available for purchase. Make sure you take a look because there is sure to be something for everyone!!!

Happy Halloween and have a great week-end!!

2 cards......

Last night my dear husband had to fix the car and it took him longer than he thought. I couldn't go to bed with him still awake working so I had some playtime!!! The first card I made is another sneak peek of SNSS's November releases. Don't forget to look over at Jessica's and Faith's blogs. They are the 2 DT members who are showing off sneak peeks as well. I have added alot of bling onto to it for the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar which is Sparkle and Bling. Yes I was up that late!! (LOL) But the time difference helps...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I also got some new CHF stamps in the mail and had to use one so I used this one for the Friday Sketchers challenge blog. It was a beautiful sketch by the talented Claudia.
The picture is pretty bad as it has been dark and rainy here! I really liked this sketch and can see myself using it alot!!!

Paper: Cosmo Cricket ~ Be Good
Ink: distressed ink
Accessories: Brads ~ Micheals, Snowflake punch ~ Martha Stewart, mini pearls ~ Kaiser Crafts, Flower and leaf ~ Prima

Well thanks for reading this far and I hope everyone has a fabulous day!!

Sweet 'n Sassy October blog hop!!!

Today starts of the SNSS blog hop. You start over at the SNSS blog and move on to Chrissy's blog for some sneak peeks of November's releases. I really love the sets that Korin and Chrissy came up with they are very versatile!!! I wanted to make a sneak peek as well and am trying to come up with one everyday as well but please don't hold me to it. My parents are coming down for a couple days and they like to stay busy so I don't think I will have much time for playing! I started with this set that was illustrated by Chrissy. It has such cozy pictures and sayings so I thought it would go great with the tea pouch I seen here. It would make a great little treat for someone so I threw in a bag of cookies with it. It also comes with a few sentiments that are perfect!! I used the Warm wishes to go with my tea and cookies. I don't drink tea but I found some of this Holiday cookie spice tea and thought it sounded good so hopefully it is!! (LOL)

Paper: October Afternoon
Stamps: SNSS
Acessories: Ribbon ~ Micheals, Liquid glass over the windows

Well I hope everyone is having a great day ~ I know it's Monday! (LOL)
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the blog hop. The schedule is on the right side under my pic. My day is Friday!!
Have a great night!!!

SNSS October Round-up time!!!

This month I decided to showcase Turkey day!! It is a cute set with this adorable turkey and some very cute sayings as well!! I found this poem for Turkey Poop and thought it would be funny to give to the hostess at Thanksgiving dinner!! If you are interested in the poem you can find it here along with several other holidays! I know I can really have a twisted sense of humor sometimes!!

Paper: DCWV
Stamps: SNSS Turkey Day
Accessories: Button, ribbon and twine ~ stash

To find the rest of the DT October round-up visit the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog! The girls creations are gorgeous!!

Hope this beautiful day leaves everyone smiling!! Off to do some big shopping!! (Nothing to get excited about ~ only groceries!! )

Sunday, September 28, 2008

Today is my day for the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog Hop. It is day 3. If you are following along you have to go to Christi's blog next!! If you haven't seen any yet I have links on the right side of my blog for sneak peeks from the rest of the DT.

The first set I have chosen to show is called Olivia's Christmas Add-ons. The set includes great sayings and different holiday images to be used with any of SNSS's Olivia sets. I have used 4 stamps from this set on the card!! I watercolored the image and I layered everything with the exception of the branch which I stamped twice on the shimmer cardstock. Doesn't she look so festive!! I think she is just the cutest Owl around!!

Next I am going to feature the set called Holiday Greetings. It is a collection of a bunch of sentiments to be used on your Holiday cards. I chose to use the "Merry Christmas" words. Not much of a sneak peek but it is a great set to have nonetheless!! (But it does use some distress inks for the main card and reindeer that are available at SNSS. ~ I just had to throw that in there!! LOL)

Remember to follow along everyday and at the end of the hop there will be a big prize to be won!!! So don't forget to follow the schedule on the right side and hope to see you all at the release party on the 30th!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!!

Friday Sketchers and a SNSS Sneak Peek!!!

This week over at Friday Sketchers they have a beautiful sketch by thee talented Mumur. Sorry for the bad photo the weather is dark and dreary here today but that is ok the kiddos have yucky colds anyway!! I just adore this image!! (Well probably every image by Elisabeth Bell LOL) I had fun coloring her in! I used my prisma pencils as I had better colors to match than with my bright distressed inks. I know the green clothes may not look like it matches but there are green stripes in the dp!! I forgot I would be covering most of it!! I know I am out of it but my sinuses must be filled!! (LOL)

Paper: Fancy Pants
Stamps: Whiff of Joy by Elisabeth Bell, Stempelglede Grunge collection
Ink: CTMH ~ Black, prisma pencils and Gamsol
Accessories: Brads ~ MM, Ribbon ~ Chatterbox, Charm ~ Micheals Rub-ons ~ stash

AND here is my first sneak peek for Sweet'N Sassy Stamps October Release. There are 7 Christmas sets for this month. I chose a couple of word sets so my cards will not have many images!! (I never thought of that when I was picking ~ DUH) This card uses a set called Christmas Scriptures. If you have trouble finding sets with Scriptures ~ SNSS has quite a few as Korin brings a new one out every month!

Well thanks for visiting and I hope everyone is having a lovely week-end!! I cannot believe it is the last one in September!! Crazy ~ time is just flying by......

September Round-up at Sweet 'N Sassy!!

It is that time again when the DT at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps have a round-up. To see the rest of the beautiful creations just stop by the SNSS blog. I have chosen to use the Hugs for Janessa set this month. This stamp set was designed for Korin's niece Janessa who was born with Down Syndrome then diagnosed with Leukemia when she was 18 months old. $5.oo from every set is donated to Janessa and her family. When she is in remission Korin will give the funds to another family in need. When I made this card back in August my first thought was that if it was my daughter spending so much time in the Hospital I would probably have to read 1000 books to her. When she isn't feeling well she wants me to sit on the couch and read so I thought a card with a bookmark would be a great card to send to someone in this situation. The poem on the card is from a Dr. Suess book and it is all about reading. I laminated the whole thing so that it will be able to stand up to alittle abuse. (You know how kids are)

Paper: Melissa frances
Ink: distressed inks, black staz-on, glitter pen
Accessories: Ribbon ~ Micheals

Be sure to see what the other DT came up with using different sets from SNSS. Speaking of the stampsets, Chrissy from the DT got to design a couple of sets herself and she is giving one away as blog candy to celebrate 40,000 hits. It is called Autumn Blessings and it is beautiful!! So stop by and leave her a comment!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day....

I'm Back.......

....except I still cannot upload pictures to the computer just yet but my Hubby is working on that!!! Yeah I got a nasty computer virus and it shut my computer down!!! I was lost!!! Also my hubby goes to school at night so I had to be patient and wait for him to work on it a little at a time!!! Finally though I can log on!!

Thanks to those who missed me and were thinking of me!! I really appreciate that I was missed!!! Korin offered to post a note to explain why I was absent but I told her I would be off for a day or so!! I never imagined it would be that long!!!!!

So I will be around to visit blogs and such tomorrow!!! I really missed visiting blogs and challenges!! I didn't make anything all week!! With the computer being down it really killed my inspiration!!!!

I will share a couple cards I have made with Sweet 'n Stamps. (Good thing these were saved on my computer and revived by my wonderful hubby!!) This card is made using a new release from last month called Summer Fun. It was for my Aunt's b-day. She is a classy lady but she loves her Ice Cream so I came up with this!!
The inside reads I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. That is a sentiment from Summer Fun sentiments.

AND this one is a sneak peek from the New releases that will be available tomorrow at midnight!!

This image is from a set called Baby Blessings and that is all I can say... Korin will have 7 new releases for tomorrow and a release party taking place here. It starts at 9pm and there will be challenges and some prizes!! Take some time to play along and possibly win some stamps!!!!

Til tomorrow...........

More Elly!!!

Here are two cards that I have made with Elly and Friends from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps. I really love this set and so do the girls!!It comes with these two images of the elephants and a tree and couple of other little bugs and such. Also there are a few sentiments in it. I love when a stamp set comes with its own sentiments!!! Korin always does a good job too of mixing the sentiments up so the set can be used for a variety of occasions!!
This set was a new release last month and in less than a week she will have 6 new releases for September!! This month she is doing something new and we will be having a blog hop with sneak peeks and a release party the night of the release!! I will post more info for that in the beginning of next week!!

Paper: Basic Grey and K & Co. (All bought at Sweet 'n Sassy)
ink: Archival jet black
accessories: Primas (Sweet 'n Sassy) brads: Micheals

A Spoonful of Sugar for your Lemonade???

I know it is corny but I have two cards to show today!! The first one is for A Spoonful of Sugar!! They had a lovely sketch to use for this week!! AND you can use ANY image that you want from now on!! So I decided to use this cute Tilda. I had to make my Aunt a b-day card and her favorite color is red!! This is like the only paper I have of that color so it was not hard to pick!! (LOL) I went with paper piecing because I don't have that color blue ! (UGH I really hate that!!) AND please excuse the glitter pen I went alittle nuts with it!! (o.k, o.k alot nuts ~ LOL)!

The second card is for me!! (LOL) I loved this image from the Sweet 'n Sassy Summer Fun set with the matching sentiments from the Summer Sentiments set. (Say that 5 times fast!)
This was a new release from last month. I also paper pieced the lemonade and lemon in the pitcher and then went over it with liquid glass. I say that it is for me because last year my brother and family moved up closer to me after living so far away for 11 years!! NOW yesterday my SIL tells me they are going back for 6 months!! That is rotten every holiday will be over by the time they get back!!! (WAH) So I have to make Lemonade!!!The sketch for this card was inspired by 2 sketches 4 you!

Anyway I hope everyone has a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by!! Off to buy school shoes for the girls!!

The two of us...

..is the challenge over at CCT this week. I decided to use this adorable stamp that I have had for awhile but haven't inked up yet!! It is from Cornish Heritiage Farms and they have a cute selection of "Friendly Kritters". (Right Rach!!!) I sure had fun coloring in this one. There is alot of fine details but if you mess up you can barely notice!! I have tried to capture all the shimmer I have used in the card but the sun is being shy today!! I went over the water and watering can with some twinkling H2O's and I think irl it looks cool!! The flourish is from Fancy Pants designs and the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps summer sentiment set. (BTW: Korin has the new Sarah Kay for pre-order and she is only getting a set number and once they are gone they are gone!!!)
I also used the sketch from Papertake weekly by Katharina for this card. It is a beautiful one to work with. I just rotated it to get my image to fit properly!!

Paper: K & Co.
Ink: Distressed inks
Accessories: Flowers ~ Prima, brad ~ MM

Thanks for looking and have a great Thursday!!

Sketch this...

..is the challenge over at Tilda & Co. There is a great prize to be won!! I wanted a bright summery type of card and also I wanted to use my cute little kite from Summer Fun by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Also when you open the card there is a sentiment from Summer Sentiments also from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. These two sets compliment each other. (As an added bonus some of the images go great with the magnolia stamps!) I stamped and cut out my kite so that it would overlap the main mat image. I used stickles for the wings and also added some to the kite and to the tail ribbons of the kite.

Paper: Me and MY Big Ideas
Ink: Distressed inks and some twinkling H2O's.
Accessories: Ribbon ~ Micheals, dew drops ~ Sweet 'n Sassy, clip ~ MM

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening, I am off to finish mowing the lawn!

Sweet Gretchen!

Today's Ismaki sketch is by the talented Manue and the option is to use ribbon. As soon as I seen the longer skinny panel I knew I wanted to use Gretchen. She is a sneak peek for one of Korin's may releases at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I also got some of this honey pie paper from Cosmo Cricket this week-end and just had to use it!! I also used Prima flowers with dew drop centers and a buckle from Crafty Secrets. I went over the flowers and buckle with my glitter pen. I used brown ribbon to look like stems. I also distressed all the edges with some distress ink. The sentiment is one I had laying around and don't remember who it is from. (sorry) Hopefully I will get some more crafting done since it is a dreary day and I did spring cleaning all day yesterday!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
