Thanks a Bunch......

Good Morning!!
I hope you all had a great start to your week already!
I sure did ~ I got my first new car ever and I love it!!!
(And I finally got a white car!! Are you surprised? LOL)
I got a Chevy Traverse and it is so nice ~ we had been looking
forever and finally found one that was my perfect color and
my hubby got them to go down a bit on the price :)
Because he did all that for me I wanted to make him a card!

My daughters picked out this adorable image from Teddy Bo & Co. to use.
(Did you see the new adorable Easter ones? Oh my they are precious!!)
I also had the perfect sentiment to match so it worked out.

The new challenge is up at the Teddy Bo Challenge and they want to
see Duckegg blue and brown. Wasn't sure this is a true Duckegg
blue but it was the closet thing I had!
I also used the fabulous sketch from Friday Sketchers.

I always have a hard time with "manly" cards but I went through
my WOC stuff and found some perfect embellies.
I had some Walnut vintage seam binding and wet it and
crinkled it up and stuck it in a bag to dry. Love the way
it comes out and it is messy and perfect for a male card
I think!  Twine is a nice touch too!

To finish it off I added some of the plain summer blooms
to the card and slathered on some of the Rock Candy Crackle Paint.
Also there are a few rhinestones to finish it off.

Paper ~ MME, Prima and Paper Studio
Inks ~ distress inks, twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ All Wild Orchid Crafts

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all
have a fabulous week!

TeddyBea Birthday........

Good Morning or afternoon!
(Wherever you are!)
I found some extra time to finally make a card
for something other than a DT card.
I used one of the new digi's from Teddy Bo & Co.. If you
have not stopped by and seen them you should
really take a look ~ they are adorable.
Lauren needed a birthday card for a
girls party in her class and she wanted blue and
green in it so this is what I came up with.
She is called "When you wish upon a Star" ~ perfect
for birthdays me thinks. I have played along with the
beautiful sketch from Friday Sketchers. I am also entering
this into the Teddy Bo challenge of anything goes.

Isn't she adorable!!! Initally I didn't get this one and had to go back and
get it after seeing everyone's cards with it.
It was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
Here is a close up. My printer did a fairly good job of not
 boogering the image up ~ which is a big surprise. It is
a crapshoot everytime I try! LOL
I have added a ton of stickles to my card!

Stamps ~ Teddy Bo Digi, Whimy Stamps ~ Birthday Seals
Papers ~ Prima: Jack and Jill, HL Craft CS
Ink ~ Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood, Brushed Corduroy
Accessories ~ Ribbon, flowers: WOC, star: HL
Diamond ~ stickles, Distress crackle Paint ~ White Picket Fence

Well that is it from me today!  I hope you all have a wonderful
week-end! It is wet and windy here so we are off
to do some grocery shopping ~ which will be nice as
hubby is going with me and that rarely happens!

Thanks for the visit!
:)Kathy

off the hop right at Chrissy's blog.'

Cozy Snowman. Also I am showing off one of the new
circle sentiments being released!! I just LOVE these!

Isn't that just the cutest snowman!!  I think Melissa's (Meljen)
designs are so adorable and unique to anything else out there.
Here is a close up of both the image and sentiment.

Of course I had to cover everything in glitter. The image
is colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers for my card as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by and your next stop is
the lovely and talented BEV!

Hey Chick.......

Good Afternoon!
I am sooo late today! My computer was
not showing any pictures today!! I am not
sure if it was a blogger thing but it lasted
an hour or two!

Anyways here is my card for the fabulous sketch
over at Friday Sketchers. I have also used a few
punches for the challenge over at

Again I have made a shabby card with Webster's Pages paper,
went over edges with crackle paint and my glitter pen.
I used 3 Martha Stewart punches and the lace is
from JoAnn's. Sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.

I just love this adorable image!!! I didn't to make a
birthday card for my friend and her birthday
falls the day after Easter so I thought this would
be cute!  I think this collection is one of my
favorites. I almost had to have all of them! LOL

Anyways thanks so much for stopping by!!
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
 We are off to the Orthodontist!! Fun!! haha

Vintagey Birthday Girl......

Good Afternoon.
Now that it took me all morning to try and get this
card edited and on here I don't have time to write a post!!! haha
I have made this card for 2 challenges.
The sketch was made by Carole for Friday Sketchers
and it was such a joy to work with! (Thanks Carole!)
I also used Vintage and flowers for the challenge at

I just adore this image! It is a new one from Elizabeth Bell for
SCACD and it is called New Friends
AND to let you know Susanna's service is tops! I ordered it Friday
afternoon and it was here by Monday!! (Thanks so much!)

Anyways this was colored with Distress inks and twinkling h20's
paper is K and Co., lace is from JoAnn's and flowers

Friends are the true gift.......

I am late today in posting as I couldn't get a good picture!! It is too sunny!! BUT I am NOT complaining! After all the rain and dark skies we had last week it is fabulous!!!
My card is based on the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I just tipped it on it's side. I got one more new Stampavie image that I wanted to use and it fit the sketch better this way! I wanted to make it a vintage tag so I really rubbed it with Vintage ink ~ distress ink. Then I thought the image might be too cute so I wanted to rough that up a bit as well!! LOL So the cracked glass technique came to mind and I really like the way it looks! I will of course have to make another card with this cute image and not make it distressed.
I added some pearl and rhinestone flourishes on it as well as the challenge at Stamp Something is Bling it somethings.

Paper: Webster's Pages
Inks: Distress Inks
Accessories: Pearl flourish ~ Prima, Sentiment ~ Papertrey Ink

``````````````````````````````````
Yesterday was finally a no rain day so we had alot of yard work to get to. As you can see from this photo the girls were ready to rake!!!But don't let the photo fool you!! haha I did all the raking and they actually did this all day!! LOL
Well thanks so much for stopping by! We have alot of outdoor fall stuff to do since last week was a wash! Rachel and I are headed out to go apple picking and then back home to Charlie an apple pie! Have a great day!!!
Sugar and Spice....
Hello!!! I cannot believe it has been a week since I have last posted!!! Time flies by!! The girls had a busy week with activities and I have had the worst sinus headache for ever!! It has been difficult looking at the computer and turning it fast! But I feel alot better today and hopefully I am done with that.
Anyways here is a card I made for my niece's birthday. I have used the beautiful sketch from Friday Sketchers and I finally tried out the flowers I seen on Stampartic. I seen that Marlene made one and it reminded me that I wanted to try it out so that fits the Just Magnolia challenge of making your own flowers!! In the directions for the flowers they say to use 3 retro flower punches in various sizes. I do not have the smallest one so I used the hydrangea punch from Martha Stewart and I think it worked just as nice. I was really pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I don't have patience to wait for it to dry!! LOL After it did dry I did add some crackle paint to it though. I also shimmer misted the flower and all the Kraft card stock in Baby's breath.
Well thanks so much for stopping by!! We have a beautiful fall day here and some brisk weather for our walk to the bus stop this morning!! I feel winter coming!! Oh I can't wait!! LOL I am not crazy I just love snow!!
Have a wonderful day and make sure to stop by tomorrow for a sneak peek of the new La La Land winter stamps! The DT is having a blog hop of sneak peeks and a chance to win some new stamps!
Paper: K & Co.
Inks: Distress inks and Twinkling H2o's
Made with Love......
WOW I am getting this in right in the knick of time!! I had stuff to do and didn't think it would take that long!! LOL
Anyways I got my kit and I think they are all so cute!! I wanted to make some cookies for Lauren's teacher ~ as Kelsey had her last year and I know what one's she love ~ so I made this card to accompany them. She was such a wonderful teacher I just wanted to let her know that I appreciate that Lauren got her as well!
The card follows the sketch over at Friday Sketchers and it loosely fits the color option of blue and orange as well! Also Just Magnolia was asking for ribbons and bows so I hope this is enough!!
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Inks: Distress Inks and twinkling H20's
Accessories: flowers ~ Prima, twine and button ~ stash, Pin and Lace ~ Fabric Barn
Well I hope after this first week back at school I get used to being up early and will have energy to create once the girls are in bed! This week I have just been wiped out at 9pm! LOL Plus it has been so nice they stay on the playset until dark. But it is better to let them enjoy it as snow will fly before I know it!
I will leave you with a couple pictures of the girls first day of school!! They were so excited!!
Then getting on the bus:
Well thanks so much for stopping by!! I appreciate your visits!! I hope you all have a wonderful week-end and if your here in the states have a fabulous extended week-end!
Give Thanks....
Good Morning everyone!! Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my card yesterday!! I am so glad that my handmade paper didn't flop!! haha
Anyways today I have made a card with an adorable image from the WOJ fall kit and it is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. It is a gorgeous sketch by Carole and I really loved working with this one!! Thanks so much Carole! The flowers have been glimmer misted with gold and then distressed. The pumpkin is from CHF and has been set with cracked glasss and then I distressed over that as well!! The sentiment is also from CHF and the "Friends and Family" is a rub-on from Melissa Frances.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket
Inks: Distress inks, twinkling H20's
Accessories: lace ~ JoAnn's, flowers ~ Prima, brads and spacers ~ Micheals
Well thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! I am going to mention again about the Sugar Bowl. You have 1 more day to play along and in order for 2 prizes to be given away we need 200 people!!! It is a beautiful sketch by Judy and all you need is a Sugar Nellie stamp! Easy!!
Right then see you tomorrow with my La La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge card!!
When life gives you lemons.......
Oh I just adore this image!! I really have been waiting for her to turn to rubber since I seen her at Elisabeth's gallery!! I have played along with the sketch from Friday Sketchers but as it is 11:30pm I am sure I am late!! LOL I had it made and forgot all about it!! I had painting on the brain!!I decided to add a tag behind the circle since I did not have a place for my sentiment ~ which I thought was perfect for this card! On the tag it reads "When life gives you lemons" ~ a sentiment from SNSS ~ and on the inside it reads "Make lemonade". Could that be more perfect for this image!!!
Anyways I have used more MME paper ~ which is about all I use these days! I purged my papers and have only a basket that I kept! I have decided that I don't want to be a collector of papercrafts anymore ~ I want to actually use it and if I don't think I will I am getting rid of it. Can you tell I have moved rooms and don't want to move it!! LOL
I also used twinkling h2o's along with distress inks. I have added liquid glass to the pitcher and glass to make it more realistic!
Well thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a fabulous week-end. I am headed to the Amusement Park today with my hubby and the girls! It is his last day of vacation so we saved it for today. Then hopefully I will get back to some blog hopping! Take care....
Back to School.....
I can't believe it is August already!! WOW this summer is just flying by! The girls only have a few more weeks left and they will be back at school!! Today I decided that I wanted to make the cards for there lunchbox on the first day!! This year I will have two going all day!! My bean (Lauren) starts a full day this year and life will just not be the same with her gone all day ~ she is my neediest child and I feel like I am going to be bored! haha!
Anyways here is Lauren's card:She loves the color purple and this is her favorite image!! My girls just love The Greeting Farm images ~ always stamping them so they can color them in. I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers and have used hearts for the challenge over at ROP which is "A little love".
************************************
Kelsey's favorite colors are blue and green so I went with this paper and I just love this image so I used her.(lol) Appropriate for school I thought!I followed the sketch from the Farm Fresh Friday over at the Greeting Farm blog. It was a beauty to work with! These are not my usual colors but I really liked the way this one turned out!! These papers and the previous card papers are from the MME paper pack that I picked up from Micheal's!! (Love them all!!)
OH MY Look here!! I just found this when I went to get the link for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge!!! Haha that is so cool!!! What a great surprise!!!
Anyways thanks so much for stopping by to have a look! Sorry for the long post! I have to get to bed now ~ it is 2am! I just had to stay up and papercraft as it has been awhile!! Hopefully the girls will sleep in! (LOL)
Anya and a blog hop!
This week over at Friday Sketchers ~ Carole has created a gorgeous sketch for us and I just had to play along!! I had my summer "stuff" out for the Magnolia challenge and never got to it so I decided to make this one a summer card. I have had this starfish charm forever and never thought I would use it but it goes good with this beachy Anya! Are you sick of my circle sentiments yet!! (LOL) I just adore them and I have more on the way!
Paper: MME
Friday Sketchers ~ Dancing in the Rain......
I had some time to play this evening after the kiddos went to bed so I decided to try out the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Plus I wanted to use another Anya image!I was going through my scraps and found this plaid paper and thought it would be great for her outfit ~ so I paper pieced alittle. I colored the background with twinkling h2o's as well!
I had this perfect sentiment for the image but it would not fit on the outside so I decorated the inside ~ nothing fancy but I like to write alot on my cards. Then I had this stamp, that I forgot I had, and added to the back for a little comic relief! It was really meant for my ungrateful brothers who I think just chuck it as soon as they get it! (LOL)Sorry about the colors in the pictures but it is really dark here and played with my new camera to get a good shot but the bottoms look alittle dark.
Papers: MME Just Dreamy
Inks: distress inks, twinkling h2o's
Accessories: ribbon ~ Micheals, button ~ Basic Grey, pearls ~ Melissa Frances
Hippity Hop.......
Claudia over at Friday Sketchers has provided a fabulous sketch this week. I loved the way my card turned out using it! I just reversed the side the tag is on.
A sweet friend of mine sent me this adorable stamp and it just screamed to be used! I needed to make an Easter card for a 1 year old and thought this image would catch her eye. That is why I kept it fairly simple as well! I knew if I went all flowery she would pull them off and do who knows what with all the loose embellies (LOL)!
Paper: DCWV
Inks: distress Inks, twinkling h2o's
Accessories: Raffia Lace ~ Paper Cellar, twine and button ~ stash, pearls ~ Micheals
********************************
Speaking of Easter ~ My oldest or my baby as I call her, was born on Easter Sunday 7 years ago today! I can't believe it!
This cute little baby has turned into this pretty little girl in a blink of an eye! (I know they are both pretty but I am referring to the one in blue!! LOL)
I can't believe how fast time flies by and even faster with children!! Good thing I remain 29 though!!! (haha)
Anyway I hope everyone has a fabulous day and thanks so much for stopping by!!
Friday Sketchers ~ Delight in Everything....
Bea has given us a gorgeous sketch over at Friday Sketchers to follow! I just had to make a card ~ even though I should have taken a nap! (I have to be to work at 3am)
I wanted to use this cute image as well but when I finished I realized I could not put the flower where it is "supposed" to be so I put it in the empty spot on my main image. For the sentiment I stamped in on a sheet of transparency and used glue dots to hold it on. The flower was made with my cuttlebug, leaves are from a MS punch. This card is nothing like what I seen in my head!! (LOL) I was going to try the color challenge of red and green over at Color Create but then I just couldn't do it!! I had to change it and put in a bigger piece of pink! (LOL) It just makes me think of Christmas!
Paper: K & Co. ~ Wild Raspberry
Inks: Distress Inks and twinkling h20's
Accessories: brads ~ Heidi Grace, pink gems ~ StampingBella
Well thanks for stopping by today and thanks for all your lovely comments on my St. Pat's card! I think it is funny ~ the ones I think will bomb always get the most comments! (LOL) Shows what kind of taste I have!! Anyways have a great week-end!
Vintagey Friday Sketchers...
This week Carole has supplied a fab sketch full of possibilities! I had seen something like this on a blog(sorry I forgot who, it was a while back) but had wanted to try it out... I know part of the sentiment is covered but I thought that the message was enough there to get the jist of it!
I distressed all edges with Vintage Photo as well as the outside of my Gorjuss girl. She was colored with Twinkling H20's.
Paper: K & Co. Madeline
Inks: distress inks, twinkling H20's
Accessories: button and twine ~ stash, flowers ~ cut with punch, little rose ~ eBay
Well I hope everyone is having a nice day. The sun here is deceiving because I went out with the dog it was freezing!! But it is supposed to get warmer later so hopefully we can get in some first of the year bike riding!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Friday Sketchers *40*
This week over at FS Jacqueline (from the Netherlands) gave us a gorgeous sketch to use. Today I finally feel a bit better so I had to try the sketch out.I was so excited that I got my WOJ spring kit so fast, (Thanks so much Katharina!!), but bummed because the antibiotic I was given made my eyes so achy that alot of the time I had to squint for comfort! So they decided to take me off of them and I am feeling so much better now! Hopefully whatever was in my head is now gone and won't make a comeback! Anyways I was just glad to ink these cuties up!
Paper: K & Co.
Inks: distressed inks and twinkling h2o's
Accessories: dew drops, ribbon and twine ~ stash, button ~ MM, flowers ~ Prima
Well thanks for stopping by and hopefully I will be able to visit all your blogs soon. I have to get my dinner done and get to sleep for my 4am shift!! (Yippee)
Have a great night!!
A Valentiney Friday Sketchers, photo fun and an award.......
This week Carole, from Friday Sketchers, gave us a lovely sketch to work with! I did a Valentine card to go with the CCT challenge.
I had received this stamp as a thank you/Christmas gift from a very sweet lady!!(Thanks so much!!) I almost fell when I seen a Hanglar stamp in real life!! I want all of these so bad and was beyond estatic when I opened the envelope and seen it! So I am happy that I have at least one now! (LOL) I was nervous about inking it up because you know how it gets kind of crappy after!! (LOL) But I couldn't take it any longer and here it is!!
Paper: Basic Grey
Inks: distressed inks, twinkling h2o's
Accessories: pearls ~ Kaiser Crafts
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````

I received this "Fun Photo Challenge" from the very sweet Linda.

Write something about the picture.

This is a picture of Radio Music City Hall from our trip this christmas to New York City. I am glad it didn't include me at all!! (LOL)

`````````````````````````````````````
Last but not least I have received this award from Helen. Thanks so much Helen. I am honored she thought of me and included me with these talented bunch of ladies!!
Friday Sketchers *36*
This week there is a gorgeous sketch by Bea! All the DT cards were so inspirational and I had some time to kill this morning so I stopped dusting for an hour and got this card made.(LOL) Probably because I grabbed a nice and easy image to color!! (Thanks so much Katharina!!) I had to make a card for my niece's 8th b-day and so I went girly and somewhat frilly!! No distressing either!! Can you believe it (LOL)! But I rather like the way it looks. Also gave me a chance to use this pretty paper I have been hoarding!
Paper: MME ~ Baby girl
Inks: distressed inks, Twinkling h2o's, glitter pen
Accessories: Pearls ~ Kaiser crafts, flourishes ~ cuttlebug, chipboard button and ribbon ~ stash
Well thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has an enjoyable week-end!
