It is that time again when the DT at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps have a round-up. To see the rest of the beautiful creations just stop by the SNSS blog. I have chosen to use the Hugs for Janessa set this month. This stamp set was designed for Korin's niece Janessa who was born with Down Syndrome then diagnosed with Leukemia when she was 18 months old. $5.oo from every set is donated to Janessa and her family. When she is in remission Korin will give the funds to another family in need. When I made this card back in August my first thought was that if it was my daughter spending so much time in the Hospital I would probably have to read 1000 books to her. When she isn't feeling well she wants me to sit on the couch and read so I thought a card with a bookmark would be a great card to send to someone in this situation. The poem on the card is from a Dr. Suess book and it is all about reading. I laminated the whole thing so that it will be able to stand up to alittle abuse. (You know how kids are)
Paper: Melissa frances
Ink: distressed inks, black staz-on, glitter pen
Accessories: Ribbon ~ Micheals
Be sure to see what the other DT came up with using different sets from SNSS. Speaking of the stampsets, Chrissy from the DT got to design a couple of sets herself and she is giving one away as blog candy to celebrate 40,000 hits. It is called Autumn Blessings and it is beautiful!! So stop by and leave her a comment!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day....
