Joy to the World....

Good Morning! WOW I have posted a card everyday this week so far! I am on a roll! haha. I will also be posting a card later that I did for Marlene's SOL last night. It was so fun and neat to see the card come together so quickly!

Anyways here is my card ~ it is following the sketch from Basic Grey and I have added a button and a bow for the Penny Black challenge. It is supposedd to be buttons and bows so not sure if one of each is allowed! LOL I just love this image and thought of it as soon as I received this paper! The colors are so pretty and the papers are fun too!! Joy to the World Sentiment is from CTMH.
I think I might add some snow to the ground as it looks kinda empty! I was going to put shadow marks but thought it would look funny as it is obvious she is in snow! LOL

Paper: Basic Grey ~ Eskimo kisses
inks: Distress inks, glitter pen
Accessories: button and twine ~ stash, flat back pearls ~ can't remember, snowflakes ~ Alpha Stamps, flower ~ Prima

Well thanks so much for stopping and leaving your nice comments ~ I really appreciate reading them!! Have a great day!!

Some bunny loves you....

I have made this card for two challenges. The challenge over at Penny Black is Romance. I have never used this stamp and it looked like it would work to me.
I used this lovely sketch by Jeanette from Sketch Saturday. I think with this sketch it doesn't need many other details!! So I just added one flower! You can see that Rachel was getting happy with the gel pen so I had to go over it with my waterbrush. I turned for a second to get my camera to take the pic and here is her little hand coloring in the picture!! Good thing most of it came out!! (LOL)

Paper: K & Co.
Inks: Distressed inks
Accessories: Brads ~ MM, flower ~ Prima

I have been feeling crappy so hopefully I can catchup on most blogs today! Thanks so much for visiting and I hope everyone has a great night!!

Friday Sketchers *34*

This week the sketch was by the talented Kristine! I decided to make a 5x7 card as I have some envies laying around. This is another stamp I got from Christmas. I just love this little girl. (Well really all the PB little girls LOL)! The glitter isn't that obvious irl but I wanted to use the natural light to get the picture and this is how it turned out.

Paper: Cosmo Cricket
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: Charm ~ Michaels, twine ~ stash, heart ~ cuttlebug

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a fabulous night. Me and hubby are going out to dinner. I just hope I don't freeze before I get back!

Penny Black does CCT!!

I had to make a quick card to send off to my SIL for her b-day. So I decided to use one of my new Penny Black stamps for the CCT challenge and I added embossing on it for the Penny Black challenge. The layout is a variation of one of Dawny P's sketches. I loved it until the coloring! When Korin came over the other day I tried to bargain with her. I told her I will make the layouts and she can do all the coloring!! But she didn't go for it! (LOL) Oh well, I will just have to deal with it!

Paper: K & Co.
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: rub-ons ~ Scenic Route, half pearls ~ Kaiser Crafts

Well I hope everyone is staying warm. It is the coldest day today! I just can't get warm. I hope everyone has a great evening!

A Spoonful Of Sugar #33....

is a beautiful sketch by Nikki!! Wow I can't believe I got to participate in a challenge!! Thanks for the simpler sketch to help ease my way and have time to get this accomplished! Also the fact that I stuck to 2 colors also made it easier! I just had to color this image in and the sketch was perfect for it! I used three stars from my cuttlebug for the right corner. It is kinda hard to tell what they are (LOL)! It looked different in my head! Her skirt and shoes are colored with twinkling H2o's. Can't really tell but looks cool IRL! Also the sentiment does not look like that but the shiny letters wouldn't take a good pic. (It is computer generated.)

Paper: K & Co.
Inks: distressed inks and twinkling H2O's
Accessories: Charm ~ Tim Holtz, twine ~ stash, flowers ~ Prima

Well thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone's weather is better than ours!! It is starting to rain and snow and the forecast is for a nasty ice storm!! Yeah ~ just love those! (LOL)

Only 17 more X-mas cards to go........

I am very excited I got 2 more Christmas cards finished and 3 challenges. This card was made using the sketch from Friday Sketchers. It was an awesome sketch bu Mumur! (Thanks)
I added snow along the edges to make it look like it was snowing but it is hard to see so I added a snowflake charm. That was for the challenge over at CCT. Which is snow + snowflakes. I just thought this image from PB was perfect!!

Paper: My Mind's Eye Be Merry
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: Beads ~ StampingBella, charm ~ Micheals, ribbon ~ Melissa Frances, flowers ~ Primas

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My second card is for the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar which is Blooming Marvelous. This was a great challenge as I love flowers. I finally got to use this image. I have to admit that this is the first image I colored before actually putting the card together! I colored it a month ago when it came out and it sat there. But it was nice as this card came together quite fast!!!
Papers: Basic Grey
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: Flowers ~ Prima, brads ~ Micheals, cuttlebug
Well thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone is having a great night and I hope to stop by and visit tonight while the girls are snuggled in bed!!
Red and Green.....
...is the challenge over at CCT. I was just finishing my Papertake Weekly card with a great sketch by Dawny and went to look to see if the challenge was posted for CCT and it was!! Fab for me since I made this card which is full of red and green!! (I can't sleep that is why I am up so late!! ~ hence the dark picture!)
I finally used some of this crackle accents by Ranger and I love it!! If you can see in the picture I used it for the Christmas trees sign. It is so easy ~ you just put it on and let it dry. When it is finished drying it looks like this!! I just went over it with my sponge that has distressed ink on it!! Love the way it looks ~ you will definitely be seeing more of these!!!
Paper: K & CO. (Sweet 'n Sassy stamps)
Stamps: Penny black, CHF
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: ribbon ~ Melissa Frances, button and brads ~ stash, skate charm ~ Rak, rub-ons ~ Creative Imaginations
Well thanks for stopping by and I hope your day goes great!!
Button it!!!!
I am not getting snippy that is the challenge over at PTW (LOL)!! I found some cute paper at Micheal's yesterday so I just had to make a Halloween card. My first of the season. I just love Halloween it is one of my favorite holidays! I wanted to show you two photos one of the actual color that it is and the other with to much light to show off all the sparkle and glitter. I haven't mastered how to take just one picture and show off both!!
I received a couple new PB stamps and had to get a cute Halloween one for the younger kids I send cards too! Yes I really send out the cards. I live away from everyone and have alot of neices and nephews so I send a card for every little and big holiday!
Sentiment stamps are from CTMH. As you can see I have added stickles and glitter pen to just about everything (LOL)!
Paper: K & Co. (Of course)
Ink: Distress inks, twinkling H2O's
Accessories: buttons from my stash, stickles (Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps)
I didn't forget about the award that a couple of you lovely ladies have given me! I am short on time today ~ I have some visitors coming for a couple days and I have things to do before they get here to insure we have fun for the visit!! But I will put it up in a couple days!! Thanks again so much I really appreciate it!! Made my day actually!!
Well I hope everyone has a great couple days and thanks for visiting!!
Friday Sketchers #14..
...is a sketch by the talented Beatrix!! This one was fantastic to work with and it gave me an opportunity to try a new technique I have not used yet!! I had a time with it (rolling back my paper) but I think it turned out alright. I will have to research to see if there is an actually tutorial or something!! I wanted to use orange for some reason!! (Not my fav color) But then I remembered this gorgeous pp from BG that I had to have and didn't use!! I believe it is called mellow. The papers are so pretty and kinda fall looking. Maybe that is why I am thinking orange it is a fall color and I got the girls bus passes for school in the mail!!
Anyway the main image is from Penny Black. I first seen a similar image on Fran's blog and I was hooked!! Then I found this little cutie or I should say big ~ the stamps are a good size!! Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
Paper: Basic Grey
Inks: distressed inks and brown staz-on
Accessories: buttons and ribbon from stash
Well I hope everyone has a great week-end!! The weather is cooperating very nicely here so I am set!!!
In the House....
....is the topic over at CCT!! Anything that can be found in the house is fine. With this theme and A spoonful of Sugar's theme I realized I need more stamps!!! But I found this image that Fran had sent me and it works perfectly!! The layout is inspired from a sketch over at Raspberry ribbon.
Paper: K & Co.
Inks: Brown Timber Staz-on, colored with prismapencils and gamsol
Accessories: Brads ~ making memories, Ribbon ~ Melissa Frances, flowers ~ Prima
Thanks Fran for the image and thanks everyone for stopping by and have a great day!
Just Animals...
..is challenge #19 for CCT this week and their is a great prize to be won!! A new Sarah Kay stamp!! (AND I don't have this one yet!) I have to tell you taking part in these challenges really help me along with ideas for cards!! I had to make a b-day card for my baby brother (31) and I couldn't think of ANYTHING!!! My household growing up was filled with more testosterone that you can imagine so I literally hate when it is time to make a card for one of my several brothers!! Then when I seen animals was the theme my problem was solved!! I found this plaid paper with a touch of pink through it and thought that would be alright because I needed something to match the pigs from my image!! (Thanks again Fran!!!) My kids said it wasn't girly at all so I can blame them if he says anything!! (LOL) I ran the cardstock through the Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder, sanded it then distressed it with brown ink. I put all the panels on foam tape for dimension!!! A nice simple and non-frills card!!! One down two to go!!! (Out of 7 boys 4 were born in July!!)
Paper: K& Co.
Ink: Archival jet black, ditressed ink in brown corduroy
Accessories: Ribbon ~ Cosmo Cricket, buttons from my stash, arrow ~ cut with cs
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!!!
