Tilda has finally come out to play.....

Good Morning!!!
Did everyone see the tutorial over at Stampartic?
I DID and I have been waiting for it
for along time!! haha  The first time I seen Minna's
cards I thought "How does she do that?"  Well now
we all know!!! (Thank you so much Minna!!!!)

Anyways I had to try it out first thing and I thought
Tilda would work beautifully!!!  I can't believe
it has been almost 6 months since I have used a Magnolia image!

Although I need alot more practice with the spray paint I had
a lot of fun. The kids came home from school and right
away were like Mom really ~ now your using white
spray paint on your cards??? LOL
Anyways I have played along with MDU ~ which is Texture
and also I played along with Just Magnolia's Bingo board and I
went with the Flowers, ribbons and lace and gems row.

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
I masked Tilda and spray painted the stamped background ~
didn't quite come out like I thought and I was going to go
over the image lightly with the spray but I chickened out! haha

Here are a couple good "texture" shots.  The matte spray
paint actually leaves a nice texture on the card!!
AND you spray so lightly you don't notice a spray paint smell!
(That is what I was concerned about when I started!)

The flowers got quite a healthy dose of layers. First was the paint
and then some crackle paint and last some Sno-tex.

Papers ~ Again the gorgoeus Prima Pixie Glen.
inks ~ distress inks, twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ lace and ribbon, flowers ~ WOC
Postage stamps ~ Whimsy Stamps

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you all
have a fabulous day! We are supposed to get a chance of
rain everyday! Which doesn't usually mean anything
but I am hoping as it is way too dry!!

Before you go I also want to show you the new images
available at Teddy Bo and if you go to the blog
you can see some gorgeous examples of them!

Take care and have a fabulous day!

Just Magnolia ~ Bingo..........

Good Morning!
Today is a new challenge over at Just Magnolia and
it is a neat one! They have created a Bingo board
and you have to pick a row and go with it!
It sounds easy but boy did I have a hard time!!
Not with using what was in my row but trying not to add
other stuff! LOL I think my card is so empty! I was
going to use everything and say I had Bingo with the whole board! LOL

I just received these new papers from Pink Paislee and
had to cut them up! Even though I didn't want to! They
are gorgeous! The soft colors are so pretty!  I went with
the row that had embossing, paper piecing and lace/ribbons.
It was nice as I only had to color a little bit! LOL

Papers ~ Pink Paislee
Inks ~ distress inks ~ tattered rose, aged mahogany
Accessories ~ Happy Easter ~ Catslife Press, Chocolat ~ Graphic 45
Lace ~ Wild Orchid Crafts, Swirl ~ Magnolia, edge die ~ PTI

I am so excited ~ I am off to Ikea in Dallas today with
my parents! They couldn't go home without stopping first
here again. It was a pleasant surprise. Also my mom
wants a farmer's sink from Ikea so now I get to go without
the kids!! YIPPEE! I have only been one other time
and it was with them and they didn't want anything to do
with that huge store so it wasn't very fun. Now I will
be able to look around and I know there was alot I wanted
to see!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have
a wonderful day and week-end!
:)Kathy

Thank you.......

Good Morning!!
It is yet Friday again so it is time for
another challenge at Just Magnolia and

This week is Michelle's turn hosting and the
challenge is to use your favorite color combo!

Well that is an easy one! LOL I think lately
I have used blue, pink and white on every card!!
So sorry to bore you with another! hehe
I have also played along with the sketch at the Sweet Stop.

My husband needed a Thank you card for a lady at work. I know
nothing about her but I hope she likes it.  I put distress crackle paint
only on the mat and leaves!! I had to hold myself back from
completely dousing the card but there is already a ton
of white on it.  I also added some glitter to the flowers.

Paper ~ My Minds Eye
Inks ~ distress inks and twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ WOC ~ pearls, flowers and lace
PTI ~ butterfly and heart punch
Magnolia ~ border punch

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope this week-end is much better than
last week-end for the world.
The girls have there first saddle club meeting
and we have 2 soccer games already!
I was really looking forward to a nice and
relaxing week-end but that will come when the
girls are out on there own! LOL

Time to celebrate.......

Good Morning!
It is another challenge over at Just Magnolia
and we have a fabulous sketch by Bev this week!
I got some of the new Prima papers and had to use
them. The colors are a bit different for me but
I liked playing with these papers:

I just adore this cutie and finally got my hands on her. I
have been late in getting them and by the time I go to
order them they are always gone! I think because
it seems like it is really earlier than it is! I can't believe
it is almost the middle of March already!!!

Papers ~ Prima: Madeline
Inks ~ distress inks and twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ flowers ~ WOC, stickles and pearls
Circle Sentiment ~ Catslife Press, Ticket ~ PTI

That is it from me today! I hope you all have
a fabulous week-end! Don't forget to stop and
see all the beautiful cards from the DT!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Thinking of you.......

Good Morning!
Well Friday has come around again!
We have a gorgeous sketch for you at Just Magnolia
this week from Mina.  I have decided to break
into my hAnglar image stash. I hate using them
because then they are gone!! LOL But
I love this sweet image and had a very special card
to make so it was perfect!

I have flipped the sketch so that I could let some of this
gorgeous Webster Pages paper show.  I bought a little pack
with some samples of the three new lines. You can see it here.
They are just gorgeous!

Papers ~ Webster's Pages, Prima and Kraft CS
Stamps ~ "Thinking of YOu" ~ Crafty Secrets, Music ~ CHF
Accessories ~ Lace, flowers and pearls ~ Wild Orchid Crafts
Butterfly ~ MS, swirls ~ EK Success

Sorry I did not get around to many blogs this week! My
husband has been sick. You would think that is no big deal
but I swear he is worse than the kids!!! So needy! LOL
I will do better this week ~ I promise! He is on meds and
hopefully he will feel better by tomorrow!
Don't forget to stop and see the rest of the DT's gorgeous creations!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have
a fabulous week-end!!!

Once upon a time.....

Good Morning!!
Sorry I am late with my posting ~ I completely
forgot to make it up yesterday!! LOL
Today is the start of another challenge at Just Magnolia and
hAnglar and sTanglar. We want to see "love themed" cards.
May it be a wedding, engagement or just a declaration of your love!

My hubby asked for an engagement card for a friend and
this was the hardest card to make!!! I had to use this paper and
under no circumstances could I use a ton of flowers or ribbon!!
(Well I had to add that one little ribbon for some color!!!!!)

Making this card with fewer embellies was actually so much harder for me
and took twice as long!! No matter how long I looked at
it, it didn't look right!!! LOL Oh well that is what he wanted!
Here is a close-up of cute Tilda and Edwin!  Believe it or not
this is the FIRST Edwin card I have ever made!!

Papers ~ K and Co.
Stamps ~ Magnolia, Graphic 45
Accessories ~ Ribbon  and lace ~ WOC

Well that is it for me today!! The weather here in Texas
is getting so nice! We will be in the high 70's today
and for the week-end! I just hope it doesn't go back to
the colder weather again because I don't know how much
more my sinuses can take of the up and down temps!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end!
:)Kathy

Just Magnolia ~ Sketch.......

Good Morning!
I can't believe a whole week has gone by again!
I always think I am going to get to a ton of cards and
it just doesn't happen! LOL Truth is I sneak minutes
in every day just to get one finished!

Anyways Mina has given us a fabulous sketch to work with
over at Just Magnolia this week.
I will admit when I first seen it I was stumped but it
was fun to work with and I actually liked the way it turned out!

Yes your at the right blog!!! I know ~ no pink!! LOL
My oldest is just not into pink and this is for her!
I adore this image however and will have to get her
in pink! haha
I have colored her with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
Here is a close-up:

I also got my DT kit from WOC and these gorgeous Trellis
roses were in it!! Oh I think I have a new favorite!! They
are just stunning in real life!!! They look edible! LOL
I think because I keep picturing them all over a
wedding cake!  I covered them with glimmer mist!
It was so sunny out it was tough to get it in the picture!

Papers ~ Prima ~ Jack and Jill
Stamps ~ Magnolia, Sentiment ~ retired CHF set

Don't forget to see the rest of the beautiful DT creations this week!
Love the variety from the same sketch!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have
a fabulous week-end!!!

"Ribbons". That is an easy one right?
Thanks to all who played along in the dotty challenge ~ I
loved looking at all the gorgeous creations!

I have finally made my youngest daughter's Valentine card.
I didn't go with the normal Valentine colors. I chose
more happy colors as that is exactly what my Rach is!
She is really my ray of sunshine! So sweet...

I had this string of hearts that I thought would go perfect with Tilda's.
I added some bells in between them. I was going to spray paint
them white but it is to cold here to do so!

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
I even decorated the inside ~ which I admit I rarely do!
I am amazed I get the outsides down and by the time
I finish I don't want to look at it anymore!! hehe

Papers ~ Webster's Pages
Stamps ~ Magnolia ~ Your So Sweet Collection
I love you ~ Paperworks, inside ~ Crafty Secrets

I just fell in love with this sweet Tilda. Love her curls. I have
to get all the curly hair ones as I had curly hair when I was
little. I didn't like it on myself but love it on her! LOL

Shabby Princess......

Good Morning!!
It is time again for another challenge over
Donalda has created a lovely sketch full of possibilites
for us to play with!  I had alot of fun playing along with it!

I have gone with girly and shabby yet again! Sorry but
I have three little girls and that means alot of little
girls birthday parties!
I used some layers of paper and lace for the
center piece of the sketch.  Can you see I finally got
the swirl doohickey die!! I had to wait until my birthday
to use it though ~ hubby is a stickler! LOL
I had to add a crown on her to make a princess!
(Can't wait to get my new stamp with the actual crown!)

Here is a close-up of my gorgeus flowers from
Wild Orchid Crafts.  I just love the hip rosebuds.
They are the perfect size and so pretty! (The white ones)

Good Morning!!
First off thanks so much for playing along with
us at Just Magnolia and hAnglar! It seems that
you all like the switch!

Well it is time for another challenge at Just Magnolia and
this week it is "Favorites". Well my card is pretty
loaded as I have alot of favorites!! LOL
I went with a Magnolia image ~ she is one of my fav's!

Now that we are on the subject of favorites ~ I had to go with
some pink and blue, I had to use some scrunched ribbon,
I had to use some twine, a button, WOC lace and flowers and
some distress paint! That is all my favorite as you all probably know! LOL
I also used some of my favorite paper at the mo ~ it is from Prima.
I have followed the beautiful sketch from Magnolia Down Under.
It also fits the Tickled Pink challenge of I {heart} you!

Here is a close up. She was colored with distress inks and
some twinkling h20's ~ also my favorite coloring medium.

Well that is it from me. Make sure you stop by and see the
rest of the DT creations ~ some of my favorite ladies!

Buttons.........

Good Morning!!
It is Friday and time for another challenge over
at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar and
it is to use buttons.  That is an easy one right?

I got this image ages ago and still have not inked it
up and thought it was about time I did!! LOL
I needed to make my SOL a birthday card and this
year I am going to try and keep up sending them out all year!
(I said try and that is a big try!! LOL)
I have used the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday.

I finally got settled and got to go through some new papers
I had gotten. These are so pretty and are from Prima and is called
Annalee ~ I found some here on sale. Again I have used
some crackle paint to get a shabby chic look to it.
The name of the sentiment is from Hero Arts and the
buttons are from PTI.
The image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I had to take a seperate pic of the flowers to show off!
They were all sprayed with marshmellow glimmer mist and
then I put some crackle around the edges of the Gardenia.
All these flowers are now available at Wild Orchid Crafts.
I love making arrangements with them especially with the new
mulberry Hip Rosebuds. Now there is such a beautiful
assortment of sizes to create a beautiful little bouquet on your cards!
They are the white bigger ones ~ aren't they so pretty!!!

Well that is it for me today!
I hope you all have a wonderful week-end!
I am off tomorrow to sign the girls up for soccer.
It just ended practically in PA but here in TX they
have to play now as it is too stinkin' hot to play during the
summer months. So that is what our life will be
for a few months!! FUN Stuff!! I can't say no
as the girls just love it and it really brought Lauren out of
her shell. She was so quiet and by the end she was getting
penalty's left and right for pushing!! LOL

Have a great day!
:)Kathy

Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar challenge........

Good Morning!!!!
I am finally back with a card!!
I am all moved it and settled with the exception
of a crafting space!! LOL I use my closet!!
(I am trying to fix that!)

Anyways this week we have a surprise and a new challenge!
We have talked about it and the team has decided
that along with Magnolia's, hAnglar and sTanglar images
can be used as well!

I am sorry that mine is a Christmas card! Your all probably
sick of seeing them but I didn't get to make
that many this year and I will be meeting my brother and his
family for a late holidays get together tomorrow.

Now it has been a while since I have colored so I
warn you it is not very good! LOL

(The layout is from last week's challenge.)
I received a beautiful card and some goodies from
the lovely Tammi and inside was this gorgoeus paper!!
(Thanks again so much Tammi!)
I added some distress paint to the edges and used
alot of my glitter pen to achieve the gold look
on the ornaments.  The JoY is cut from the
cuttlebug and the lace is from JoAnn's.
I couldn't find my twine as of yet so my button is empty!

Here is a close up:

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
Well that is it, make sure to stop by the rest of the DT's
blogs and see their gorgeous cards!!

Best wishes to all of you for the happiest and healthiest
New Year!  Enjoy the celebrations and be safe!

:)Kathy

White and One..........

Good Morning!

Today is another challenge at Just Magnolia and
it is White plus one more color.
I love the look of mainly white cards so I
decided to try one out! If you don't count my Kraft CS
I used white and a sage green color:

I love these Angels from Magnolia. I have to admit I
got a few this time! I have colored her dress with Champagne
glimmer glaze and added stickles to her wings and halo:

Of course I went around the edges with crackle distress paint in
Picket White Fence. The snowflake is the cuttlebug die and I
covered that with Martha Stewart  Crystal Fine glitter.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The papers are a mix of MME and Websters Pages.
I am also entering this into the challenge at Magnolia Down
Under as they want Shabby Chic.

Well that is it for me today! I have to get moving.
We have two showings today (which I am sick of already! LOL)
and I have to bake Pumpkin bread with Lauren at school today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you
all have a fabulous week-end!
:)Kathy

the rest of the DT cards ~ they are gorgeous!
I, of course, had to make a Christmas card again.
I got some of the new Tilda's and it is the first
time I colored almost all of there faces already!!
LOL Usually the coloring waits forever!!

Anyways here is what I did with the sketch:

Because Tilda was facing the opposite way I flipped the
sketch. I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo and the
image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.
I went around all the edges as well with my glitter pen.

Papers ~ Pink Paislee, Kraft
Accessories ~ Brads ~ stash, Flowers ~ WOC
Ribbon ~ eTsy, sentiment ~ CHF

Well that is it! Sorry I have so absent in the blogging world

blog hop or anything!  I really miss it and notice
my stress levels are up because surfing my blogs
was a great stress relief!! Hopefully soon
things will settle down soon.

Anyways thanks so much for stopping by and I hope
you all have a lovely week-end!

Think Pink......

Good Morning!!

It is time for another challenge over at
To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness month
our challenge is to use pink on your creation.
I went a little over board with Tilda's pink cheeks!! LOL

I had this fitting sentiment from Tim Holtz that I wanted to use
and then I remembered this cutie that I had yet to ink up!
I went over the edges with some crackle distress paint and
stamped a Tim Holtz flourish in CTMH Blush.
To come up with my card I used the  lovely sketch from

Papers ~ Webster's Pages
Inks ~ distress inks, twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ Flowers, pearls and lace ~ WOC

Don't forget to stop by the Just Magnolia blog and
check out the beautiful cards from the rest of the DT.
Also don't forget to do a self check ~ it is an ugly
disease but it is totally treatable if caught.

Well thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your
lovely comments ~ they really make my day.
Have a lovely week-end while your at it.

Be Merry.....

Good Morning!!!
Today is Friday so that means it is
time for another challenge over at
Dawny has created another fabulous
sketch for us to work with!!
I, of course, had to continue on
with my Christmas cards. I am deter-
mined to get them done early this year!!
Hey I can dream can't I?? LOL

I have used some of the new Basic Grey papers.
I have to ask if anyone else out there
doesn't care much for these either??  I
found them so hard to work with and am not
too happy with my end result!
Anyways all the flowers again are from WOC
and the sentiment is Catslife Press.
I have colored my image in with distress
inks and twinkling h20's.

Here I will show what the twinkling h20's
look like. I took the first with the flash
on and the second is just the normal way
I take my pics.

You can really see the difference
the twinkling h20's make.
But it isn't that sparkly irl ~ unless you
have a lot of light on it!

Well thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you all have a wonderful week-end!!
:)Kathy

The Animals go marching 2x2.......

Good Morning!!!
LOL I was just kidding about the animals
but the challenge at Just Magnolia is 2x2
and it made me think of that song!! LOL
Can you tell I still have little ones!!

Anyways, yes the challenge at Just Magnolia
is if you use something use it twice!
I thought this would be an easy one but I
kept forgetting!! LOL Here is what I came
up with:

I started off good with 2 colors of cardstock
and two patterned papers! But then
I decided to flip one over and go with
three!! Technically it is only two
papers but it is 2 sided so not sure if that
counts!! LOL I also went with 2 flowers, 2 images
2 bells, 2 tags, 2 pearls and 2 laces.  AND now
that I look at it it is mainly 2 colors.

Papers ~ Webster's Pages
Inks ~ distress inks and twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ Pearls, flowers and lace ~ WOC

It is very late and I have to get to bed! My head
is pounding!! My hubby had a job interview
in Texas today and it seems to have
gone good! Secretly I think I didn't want it
to go well because I don't want to move!!
Sshh don't tell him that though!! LOL

Anyways thanks so much for stopping by and
I hope you all have a wonderful week-end!
:)Kathy

Anything goes........

Good Morning!
Today is the monthly challenge over
at Just Magnolia and from now
on it is anything goes.  I have decided
to make another Christmas card since I am
so behind in making them already!

Papers ~ Webster's Pages Petite Pad
Inks ~ distress inks, twinkling h20's
Accessories ~ Flowers and lace ~ WOC, Crinkled
shabby ribbon ~ stash, charm ~ Micheal's

Tilda's dress also has a layer of the new
glimmer paints from Tattered Angels called Glimmer Glaze.
I ordered it by accident and love the comcept of it
The dress was too light of blue and so I spread some
Champagne color over it! I think it made it
match very well!! That is some cool stuff too
as the lid is a little paint brush just like
nail polish! Love the way it works.

Anyways thanks so much for stopping by
and I hope wherever you are your staying
dry!! We are getting drenched here in PA!

Have a lovely week-end as well!!!
:)Kathy
