A Spoonful of Sugar.....

I managed to squeeze in the sketch challenge from A Spoonful of Sugar in the last minute! It was a fabulous one to try and I still need to make the teacher's cards. Isn't this image adorable! It is called "The Christmas Door" and it is from Belles and Whistles.

Paper: Making Memories
Inks: Distress inks and twinkling h2o's
Accessories: lace ~ JoAnns, button and twine ~ stash

Before I wanted to show a picture of our finished gingerbread house! WOW what a job that was!! haha I didn't realize it would be that difficult and take as long as it did!! Turns out I had to do most of the work and the kids just added the candy at the end! I had to make the dough twice because the "glue" recipe didn't really work! I would hold it for about 10 minutes and think it was sticking and when I took my hands off it would fall right apart!! But then I just went ahead and used some Royal icing and it worked like a charm!!
This was our finished product! The girls were happy with it finally after 2 days!! LOL We went with a cottage look and used some cinnamon sticks for our pile of wood!

Well thanks so much for stopping by! I hope all your preparations are going good! Sounds like Christmas snuck up on alot of people this year! Well have a great night!
