A tasty read......

Good Morning!
Today I have a digital image from Elisabeth Bell to show you.
I needed a card for my daughter who made her
reading goal for the year at school.
I wanted to make it special because
they kept raising her goal everytime she made it and
it was very frustrating for her! LOL
Well A Tasty Read was the perfect image to use!
I love this sweet illustration and can't believe this
is the first I am coloring her up!!!!

Of course I had to do it a little shabby chic! LOL
I just can't break away from that! I just can't get enough of
the white distressed crackle paint and cheesecloth!

My coloring was really bright so I tried to tone it down with
some white details on her clothes and hat.

Here is my texture shot! LOL Really it is me pretending
to be artsy!! haha But it just isn't happening!

Stamps ~ Digital Image ~ A Tasty Read ~ Elisabeth Bell, sentiment ~ PTI
Inks ~ distress inks, twinkling h20's, white gel pen
Accessories ~ Flowers, ribbon and lace ~ WOC,
Cheesecloth, bells and star ~ Hobby lobby

Well that is it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by
and don't forget about the monthly challenge ~
to create something for your mother!

I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day this week-end!
:)Kathy

Your card is beautiful (and artsy too)! I hope you never do get enough of your awesome shabby chic style because I never get enough of seeing it. Way to go hugs and a big yippee to your daughter from Florida. Reading is so important, it's great she enjoys it at least enough to meet her goals over and over. She will do well in life with those skills. I know you are proud. Connie :)
