Today is another challenge
over at the Belles and Whistles blog.
Gini has given us the challenge to Distress!!
This is right up my alley!! LOL I did it all!
I have made a little keepsake box for my
oldest and have to get 2 more done for
my other two! They were all begging for this one!
(I tell you growing up with all boys and then having
three little girls is such a shock!! LOL They
have nothing but sweet things to say ~ and face it
I didn't hear much of anything sweet growing up!! LOL)
Anyways I have used Eden with Teddy :
Again, of course, I just adore this image as well!! LOL
(It is an Elisabeth Bell illustration how can it not be adorable!!!)
Anyways I have distressed the edges with vintage ink,
then added Crackle distress paint and put some script and
flourishes on some edges. Also used Distress inks.
I have been seeing these boxes for awhile and wanted to try
one out. So I thought it would be a nice gift to give someone
with a new baby or like I am doing giving it to my daughter.
I thought that I could put something in each drawer from
when she was a baby. In one drawer ~ her first tooth.
In another drawer I have put hair from her first haircut, another
her baby bracelet and then the last are her earrings from when
she got them pierced while she was a baby!
