SOL with Marlene.....

Good Afternoon! Yes this is my second card but I wanted to get it up today!! LOL A couple nights ago Marlene gave out some measurements to make a card, then last night every 5 minutes she gave a clue as to how to put the card together!!
It was so fun! It came together without much stress at all!! haha My problem was that I would do the first measurement in cm but then forget and do the second in inches!! (Because that is what we use here in the states). At one point, before I realized what I did, I was actually talking to Marlene telling her that I didn't like the layout and it didn't look right!!! haha (Sorry Marlene!! LOL) But then I quickly realized what I did and it was fixed right away!! lol
Anyways here is my version of the SOL:
These are the same papers as in my first card. I read her instructions as I was making the first card so I just decided to use the same papers. I am normally a stickler for the red and green for Christmas but these papers were really irrestible and work great with the cuter images! This is from Stampavie. I think they are adorable! I am not sure my card is that Christmassy but I think it is cute anyway!! LOL

Well thanks again so much Marlene for the fun afternoon yesterday!! I was pleasantly surprised when she showed her card and mine looked similar!! I am usually a visual person so it was a fabulous challenge for me!!
Have a great night!!!
Well thanks again for playing along in the blog hop and I hope you had fun!

Paper: Basic Grey
Inks: Distress inks

Super cute image, I must go have a look. The distressed edges are wonderful for this card. I was so happy mine didn't turn out totally different than Marlene's also. It was a lot of fun.
Just love how yours turned out! Hugs, Dena

Cute card Kathy! It definately looks christmassy to me with the mistletoe on the image and the holly on the DP. I think alternative christmas cards, other than the traditional green & red can look lovely and a refreshing change!
