With Love (x2)......

I had a productive morning today! I finished up 3 cards of which 2 I can show today. The first is from a pretty sketch over at Double Dutch. My distress style has been altered to just roughing up the edges as opposed to inking the edges. I think because the colors of Spring are so soft and pretty I can't bear to darken them with the ink. (LOL)
I have made this card for my MIL. Her recovery from her aneurysm was coming along well but she had fell and broke her hip. Because they had to do a hip`replacement they had to put her under and all the memory progress they had made was gone when she woke up! Isn't that just crazy ~ it has been 9 months! Anyway I like putting cute little girls on the cards to represent my daughters and these Sugar Nellies by Elisabeth Bell are just so cute.

Paper: We R Memory Keepers
inks: distress inks, twinkling H2O's
Accessories: Raffia lace, pearls and brads ~ Michaels, flowers ~ Prima

This card was made for Cute Card Thursday. The theme is family affair. My oldest daughter has her b-day next tuesday so I thought it was a perfect time to make her card. She will be 7 years old! (Sniff) I can't handle this!! (LOL) Anyway her favorite colors are blue and green so I thought she would love these papers. Also she loves the Elisabeth Bell images from Sugar Nellie and I just got this one so it was perfect as well!
I used some more raffia lace on this one. I finally found some thanks so much to Rach's link! (Thanks so much ~ you have no idea how bad I have wanted some of this!)It is very thin and easy to work with!

Paper: MME
Ink: Distress inks, glitter pen
Accessories: Raffia Lace, flowers ~ eBay

Well thanks for staying with me on this long post! Me and the kids are gonna get some lunch and head off to the park for some rollerblading. It is sunny and the forecast is for some weather! YIPPEE.
Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end!
