Sugar Sugar March Project... Cracked Glass Technique

Our project for the month of March at Sugar Sugar is the cracked glass technique! If you go to the blog there are some great directions to follow from the talented Judy. I did not have the ultra thick embossing powder so I just used a few layers of the regular stuff.I didn't know if it would work but it was so easy! Put it in the fridge for a minute or two and bend! I may have used a bit much but I think it looks neat with the deep cracks! I went over it with some brushed corduroy distress ink on a sponge after I cracked it to get an aged look. I went with this image as I thought it would fit the theme I was going for. BUT you can do it with beautiful bright colors as well. Take a look at the Sugar Sugar blog and see what gorgeous creations the DT came up with ~ love the variety!

Paper: K & Co.
Inks: distressed inks
Accessories: button, ribbon and twine ~ stash, flowers ~ Prima, brads ~ MM

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great day! I am a little late in getting this up as my daughter's nose just won't stop bleeding!! This weather is so wonky and is messing up her sinuses! We woke up to snow this morning! I thought it was all over but they are calling for more tomorrow as well! Hopefully no rain will follow it! (LOL) Then we can have fun in it at least!

Hi Kathy . . great minds indeed - I got 'bloom & grow' too LOL!!! This is gorgeous, you know I always love the colours you use and that crackle affect is very cool (need to dig out my UTE powder). Hope the nosebleeds are under control now (hubby gets them bad too during hot weather or if he has fizzy drinks would you believe - hate the sight of all that blood!) Have a good day! xx
