I needed to make my niece a birthday card and since she is traveling to Texas and Oklahoma from New York for about 1 month I thought the Cowgirl image from Sugar Nellie, designed by Elisabeth Bell, was perfect. I thought to put Happy Trails on the outside and Happy Birthday on the inside! I also wanted to cut out the horse and mount him on foam squares to make him look closer. Now sure if I got the look I wanted but still looks alright! I wanted a flower in the center of the large pink one but didn't have one to match so I colored in a white with the distress inks then gave it a waterbath. I like how it came out kinda tye-dyed! I got my order from Funkykits today and can't believe I resisted using one of them!! (Only because I had this started and in my head!!) There is always Monday! Anyway heading to Hershey Park tomorrow!! Should have alot of fun the girls are so excited!! Well thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great week-end!!

Kathy, I so love how this card turned out! That cowgirl is adorable & the popped horse is great. I've really got to start layering my stamped images more often & I'm really wanting to start paper piecing w/the images & patterned paper. I just haven't had the time.
