Does anyone else have a hard time making anniversary cards???
Any card, as a matter of fact, that has the potential of falling into a man's hands give me such a hard time!! I think it is because I was raised in such a "masculine" environment!! (I was the only girl with lots of brothers) With that in mind I don't like to put flowers or girly colors etc.... But yesterday after thinking about it all day I realized they probably don't look at it anyway!! So this is what I came up with. The first one was inspired from blog browsing. I thought it was from Lauren Meader but when I went back to her blog I couldn't find a card that looked like this. So anyway the entire card idea was not mine. I think it turned out o.k. It was very hard not to add alot of layers. Also, it is kinda "messy" but I am going to send it anyway. It was good for me to step out of my comfort zone. (Stamps are papertrey. I used my nestabililites for the sentiment and the ribbon is from JoAnn's.)
For the second card I wanted to use neutral colors to make it more plain. (Stamps are stampin' up, ribbon is from JoAnn's, rub-ons from AMerican Crafts and the sentiment is from papertrey's mixed messages.)
Sorry to ramble on but I really had a hard time with these cards!!!! Well, off to do my grocery shopping with all the girls in tow!! (WHOHOO!!) Do you get my sarcasm....
Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!!
